It's forum spring clean time!

We all know that there were a lot of registered users on this forum who were not active or had never logged in. The mod described in the post above has enabled me to cut out some dead wood.

Before the user prune we had 1287 registered members. That's now been reduced to just 759

This will make for a leaner, meaner forum and I will repeat this process on a regular basis. The mod will also make the task of deleting undesirable member registrations (spam) much easier.

528 members who have never logged in or added a post!Thats a hell of alot.Wonder why? Some of them I guess would be people who have forgotten their usernames/passwords,but the others would they log in once and have lost interest or just keep logging in and never feel like posting? :?

Quite a large proportion (275) are members who never validated their registration. Quite often, people register and give a false or incorrect email address and so they never get the validation email - either that or they just can't be bothered.

The prune user mod is very powerful and I can see a lot of interesting information. For instance, I didn't just delete anyone who has never posted because there are users who visit the forum but don't post - it would be wrong to delete them and so I haven't.

More than anything, this mod makes cleaning up after a spam attack very much easier.

I got at least 298 members who have never made a post. :roll:Perhaps even if they introduced themselves would cool.Maybe would should start a thread for members to introduce themselves.

Hello CADtuter. I keep getting this message when I come to the CADtutor site........

Java script error
description.'darr' is undefined
source:http//www.cadtutor.net/
line: 66

I know our security settings were changed recently, but I don't think these would have anything to do with the above.
