Hey guys,

I am thinking about revamping my site, maybe brighten it up a bit, the existing site is a little dark.

What do you think of this design? Could it work? Is it better than the existing I-CAD design? Any and all feedback/criticisms are more than welcome. It is a little distorted because of the resize of the screenshot, but hey... you get the idea...lol

Thanks and have a great day!

I have the day off today. Wife is working and both my children are home from school sick. I decided not to do any CAD work today an instead I am putting my efforts into my site.

I have decided to go with the new design after all. I am nearly completed. I have maybe 15 more pages to changeover and the new site will be ready for upload.

I like this design, it is much cleaner and brighter! When it is finished, I may need a little help proofing it again to make sure everything works right.

Enough of my ramblings.... Take care...

Tom - it looks very professional. Clean and easy to read. Look forward to a test drive on the real thing.

Well David...

It is completed and uploaded... whew... 10.5 hours to transfer... Still have some tweaking to do... Gonna be changing a few images... especially in the samples section. Also, got to redo the forum tomorrow. The .css is very extensive, not to mention all the images. Hopefully I will get it done sometime tomorrow!

What errors am I looking for... Those nasty red image x's, misdirected links and basically anything that jumps out at you. See link in my sig.

Thanks in advance guys for any input you may have to offer.

Take care & have a great night!

Hey Hyp...

Thanks for the input...

Those sections you mentioned will continue to grow. I have a word .doc on my desktop and when I learn a new tip it goes there. When I get a chance I plan on reworking them and adding them to the site. Also, gonna brak it up into several pages to reduce the amount of vertical scrolls.

Also putting together a few tuts on rendering, x-hrefs, and a few more...

Thanks again...

ok... This should not be considered as spam... just an update on the site revisions.

Updated many of the on-site images, nearing completion of the new samples page.
Added 7 0r 8 pages of CAd "walkthroughs", "cheat sheets", & a few misc...

also added a few more material downloads...

Still to come...
basic rendering tutorial
basic x-href tutorial
more materials
block libraries

Also gonna add some downloadable .dwgs for reference materials, maybe to correspond with the tutorials.

I also have a ton of jot notes on CAD definitions, surveying definitions etc... I will be compiling them into sections and uploading them as time goes by.

Does anyone have any other items which they may like to see available to the public as a part of these resources?

Oh-ya... The forum is finished also... well as much as I am going to do with it anyway for the time being...lol

I found this very professional free webtemplate and have tried it on for size. I really do like this one alot. Much more cleaner.

Seriously, what do you guys think? Would this be a more suitable template considering the nature of the business?

Oh BTW.... Thanks in advance for taking the time, 'tis appreciated!

Thanks for the reply Nick...

Let me see if I am reading this correctly. Been a looooong day, please excuse me If I am incorrect.

Do you mean I should have a more distinctive, more eye catching logo?
Do you mean I should have pics of pc's instead of the ones which are there?
