Hi

I got help to figure out how to what to use to make walls then i've gone and got stuck at two places

1. How do I specify the units in Multiline such that they represent 18" - should i specify each unit as 12" and then offset top and below as .75 and -.75 will it give me 18 inch multiline???

2. How do i make sure that the units being used in the architectural drawing are all the same that is inch, metrici etc

3. When using the area and distance tool the command line shows some figures in sq. unit lenght respectively. How do I know what sq units these are is there a way of generating it so that they appear along side the figure as for eg. 150 square feet or 40 feet etc?

3. DISTANCE TOOL:
Initially when i stared making the drawing i used the distance tool it automatically generated a two way arrown line and showed the distance between two points. Now after having learnt a bit more this tool has stopped working , i checked the tutorials but have not been able to make much progress

I am using a trial version of Auticad 2000 on a win2k version

Is this too long a query should i cut them into pieces and send next time

Use the same measure unit. If you ask AutoCAD to draw a 5 feet long line, it will draw it 5 units long. Entering the next lengths in feets you will get the correct sizes. AutoCAD don't care if you work in mm, inch, parsecs or so on. Be sure you are consecvent and send to AutoCAD the right dimensions, in the same units.
About your distance tool: probable you used before the DIM command. Try both of them and see.
