Rendering & Multi tasking

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew anyway you could possibly limit the amount of processor used by AutoCAd when rendering? Quite a random question I know, but I'm using a dual core and its currently rendering on both, but I really need to be producing work at the same time and was wondering if you could allocate a render to one of the two, freeing up the other? I know this is probably impossible but I thought I'd inquire anyway!

That may be controlled by the WHIPTHREAD system variable.
