Anyone heard of the software called Poser?3D character animating tool,is it any good?

Yes, it is good.
In 3D Max if you try to animate a character, you must construct a skeleton first, describe the constrains for the joints, assign the skeleton to the model ... a lot of work and requires experience.
Myself I have no much experience with Poser, but the hard part of the work is done by the software. No dubt I would choose Poser to quickly add some personages to a render

Isn't this why Max comes with Character Studio?

OK Im now having a go at Poser software,anyone know of any tutorial sites for Poser that are good?It really is a neat piece of software.I created my own owman the other day and animated my model,got her to run.Mind you if you can imagine more of a cross between a clubbed footed frog leap and normal running :lol:
