Hi guys,
got a problem, thought I could do with your help.
got an architects drawing with 3 floors on top of each other on different layers, but what layers correspond to each floor is beyond me. Im pretty sure theres a command where you can select 0,1,2,3 and it'll activate the relevent layers to each floor plan? but cant remember it :(
hope you can understand that garble hehe, any help much appreciated

if you select an entity, your layer pull-down will display that layer name. or you can just use layer isolate
other than that I don't understand your question

sorry, dont think I explained myself.
Currently the only layers that are active are the ones to belonging to the Ground Floor.
There are a total of 127 layers. So somewhere in there, there are 2 other floor plans.
I remember a command (_int or something) that will proposition you with
0,1,2,3
Selecting 1 will activate the layers for the First Floor and turn off the Ground & Second Floor.
Selecting 2 will activate the layers for the Second Floor and turning off the Ground & First Floor.
Hope that helps a little bit more & thanks for your reply

you don't say what software you are running so I'm guessing some version of Autocad. or which version ~ this could easily change how you go about the task.
have you tried the layer manager ? layer states ? layer filters ? or if you're using some version of ADT then there's probably a lot of commands I know nothing about.
I certainly don't recognise the command you are referring to. It may be some Lisp routine you are running

If it is AutoCAD the LAYWALK command might be of some use to.If your desperate ask the Architect his layering structure,it should be easy for the next user to work on,the layers should have appropriate naming.

I work with floorplans everyday and I have to say I've never seen a drawing quite structured like that. It must be a large file.

you should still be able to filter the layers using the filters feature inside the layers dialogue box
