My name is Geoff and I've been working on a team to develop a brand new video site called CADJunky. CADJunky is a place where Engineers, Designers, Students, and anyone else can come to learn and share CAD tips, tricks and ideas across all software platforms.
You can visit CADJunky.com here: http://www.cadjunky.com (http://www.cadjunky.com/)
Some of the inspiration for creating this site came by observing the great CAD related videos that exist across the web on sites such as YouTube. I am sure that some of you here have contributed to these. I hope you that you find the videos on CADJunky to be helpful, and invite you to join our community and upload some of your own!
If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks!

Yes, I am myself a CAD man, and as a member of several other forums, I am also aware of the *spam* status that postings like these do often get, and with the same types of responses -- its always hard to be the n00b. Nevertheless, I DO admit that I started the thread as a shameless plug for our site. However, please note that I did try and exercise proper forum etiquette by posting only once, and in the proper location. So before you send this off to the recycle bin, please just give the site a quick look and I think you'll agree that it actually IS a great resource for CAD enthusiasts -- its kind of a YouTube for CAD. As is the purpose of a CAD-based community such as this, CADJunky is only seeking to share and expand CAD knowledge. While it is true that I do not have any reputation here, I hope that the underlying purpose of our non-profit site exceeds my spammer-status here. Cheers! :)

I've just had a quick look at the front end of it, and the content looks good, but it needs to be on a more sensibly searchable site than the youtube format
if the vids are there just as a showcase, then fairy snuff, but if the aim is to expand knowledge it could do with being less browsy looking

Not very user friendly, you would think a website sponsered my Solidworks would look and feel better, some good stuff, but I have seen it all before on You Tube.

I just had a quick look. I wasn't all that impressed. Lazer, I have to agree with you (your comments from other threads), this site IS the best.

OK. This may seem a bit ignorant, but busy at the moment so trying to save some time.
I had a quick look at the site, and a lot of the videos that I came across seemed to be there to show off a users work, rather than to educate, not that it is a bad thing because after all, job satisfaction is very important.
I typed in AutoCAD for a quick search and found a handful of videos that looked like they may be useful, although none that are particularly great. Could anyone advise on a few they have seen to allow me to greater appreciate the site as I am sure it is very good, I am just not finding the right content.
Cheers
