Something that used to annoy me that was inherent with many php forums, is you could not always have time to read all your posts or have to resign in and loose the unread markers(while not being active for long enough while signed in).One way of finding your your previously unread posts,is to sign in and then go to the search facility. From there enter a * into the
Search for Keywords: leave everything else as it is.This * is described on the search facility as a wild card ,but I didn't think to use it for this purpose, till now  .Maybe there are others like me :)

That method will list all posts in descending date order and not just the ones you have missed. It does give you a quick overview of all recent posts.

It's also worth pointing out the 3 options at the top-right of the forum main page. They are often missed but are very useful.

Using these options, you can very quickly see what's been going on while you've been away. :D

oooo - I've not seen that facility before :)

the quicklinks now has 'today's posts' listed - and there was me thinking you had to be logged out to find that facility
