Is it possible to squeeze the width of the text in an MTEXT box? Where can I find a WIDTH FACTOR setting for these text boxes?

Thanks!

properties?

turn on your properties box, and when you select your text you'll be able to modify it's criteria

There's no WIDTH FACTOR property for the MTEXT boxes. The width textbox only changes the width of the actual box, not the text.

dtext used to have a FIT function - does MTEXT do that too?

hmmm, there should be a full editor facility where you should be able to select it's width factor

this is going to irritate me now as I don't have access to AutoCAD on this machine to go prod about at

If I explode the MTEXT box, I can edit each line's width factor separately, but that doesn't do any good.

eeek - you don't want to go doing things like that!

hang on a mo and I'll see if I can get my hands on the other machine

ok, I'm wrong - use DTEXT instead if you need a width factor

is it possible to set the widthfactor in a text style? before MTEXTing?

thanks Norts :)

bit of a pain having to do it that way though isn't it?

why is this a function that didn't make it from Dtext to Mtext?

give them a chance. they have only just incorporated attributes into mtext
