Hey whats happenin everyone,

I am copying my viewports from one layout to another (copy/paste)... And when I bring it into the new layout and paste it has to be turned on and then all the layers are on also and i have to isolate the layers again...

Is there a way to copy from one layout to another without having to mess with my layers at all??

Let me know
Thanks

Can you save layer settings in lman and restore them in the new layout.

I haven't tried it but it might work

Yeah I know I can use save layout settings, but I use so many different layers and viewports in my drawing sets it is quicker to just isolate the layers i guess... Just didnt if there was a setting to maintain layout attributes that I didnt know about... Thanks for the help though

Let me know if you think of anything else

Gday,

If i am understanding this correctly you are using layer isolate to turn off layers and only show certain things quicker, and if this is correct that doesnt sound to healthy. I would suggest using the layers II toolbar and using the layer freeze icon to turn of layers quicky and then then the idea of using layer states manager would work fine!

this works in ver2008 but im not sure about previous versions. hope that helps
