My project wont open!!!

Last night while in class i accidentily opened one of my projects in Autodesk Architect 2008 on campus from my USB drive. Today i am trying to continue work on it and when i go to open it in AutoCAD 2006 i get a prompt that reads:

"Drawing File Is Not Valid"

!!!!!! How can i fix this?

Its still a DWG but maybe i had saved it as compatible with 2008 and newer? Can someone open it and convert it back to 2000 (what i normally save as)????

AutoCAD updates their format every few years. AutoCAD 2007 format is the latest and the one before that is 2004. If you go to the AutoDESK site you can find DWG TrueConvert for free download that will allow you to convert between most AutoCAD formats.
