Stretching

Can anyone please explain why sometimes when I stretch a section of my drawing some blocks within the selected area do not move with the stretch command and I have to move them seperately?

I can only assume that your stretch window is not getting the block insertion point.

You're right Dave, the drawing was originally created by someone else and the block insertion points are 'erratic'. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

erratic - nice euphemism!

I think the block creation box has resulted in so many bad blocks. The fact that through laziness all blocks have an insertion point of 0,0 irrespective of the block geometry is the source of many problems.
