Does anyone know how to justfy text to view in solid columns? I can only seem to justify to:

TOP LEFT
MIDDLE LEFT
BOTTOM LEFT

TOP CENTRE
MIDDLE CENTRE
BOTTOM CENTRE

TOP RIGHT
MIDDLE RIGHT
BOTTOM RIGHT

Thanks

Sounds like that's really about all you need....

There is a lisp routine out there called CHTEXT.LSP...get hold of it, it will help you....

Failing that, use MTEXT........

I just re-read your post.....

Column mode?...that's a bit different....and a bit trickier

Try TABLES (I've never used them....so I'm no help there)

Dont Know If Your Still Looking For Your Answer, But I Was Having The Same Problem,

The Solution, Depending On What Version You Are Running, As I Am Running Autocad 2007, But The Answer Is:

Express Tools -> Text -> Text Fit

The Text You Are Trying To Justify Must Me Single Line Text.

If It Is Mtext, Explode It And The Use The Text Fit Command On It To Fit The Text Into The Space.

yeah - it's the DTEXT command you need to make text come out fitted to a space

I never quite understood why MTEXT was so much less versatile than DTEXT :?

I don't know about MTEXT being less versatile than DTEXT.....

I only ever used DTEXT until this year, when I started using MTEXT all the time.....because I can do so much more with it.......I've even converted all my standard notes to MTEXT........8)

We've upgraded to 2008 and you can now justify text. There is a button in the mtext dialogue box.
