Ole objetcs

Inserted .jpgs (inserted as Ole objetcs) only appear as icons and not photos etc. when previously the whole image appeared, is there a way to fix this. I'm in Autocad 2005 LT.

try opening the jpg in an image viewing piece of software, then copy and paste it into LT.

that should have the desired effect.

This is how i normally do it but for some reason this no longer works! Tried several different files and several different .jpgs but all i get are the linked icons. (insert as icon tick box is not selected either)

Inserting your OLE object be sure that the case "display as icon" is unchecked.

Thanks, but already followed that route.

I maybe wrong here, but LT doesn't display JPEGs (rasters)... correct me, if that's not the case... :oops:

Hi,

Open your object in MS Paint;

edit > select all > copy

In AutoCAD LT (which should be already open)

edit > paste special > windows metafile


Hope this helps, worked well for me with JPGs
