View Full Version : Custom toolbar moving at startup?

I switched jobs and came back to Autocad about a year ago. I've had this problem before but can't for the life of me remember how to fix it anymore. I'm running AutoCAD Mechanical 2006 and have created a custom toolbar with some frequently used commands.
After closing AutoCAD the next time I start it up, usually the next morning the toolbars are moved around. I know there is a way to fix this and it's getting irritating because I can't figure out how to get them to stay. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

right click any part of a tool bar > lock location > all
could try that :)

are you reloading to a stored profile? Once you are happy with your layout save a named profile and you can at least re-load that tommorrow.

Yeah, I have, it doesn't work.
I don't see a way to save a profile, just export and import.

OMG thanks!!! I tried out and setup a workspace using the tutorial here on the site and its exactly what I wanted to be able to do!!! The only drawback seems to be when I start up Acad Mechanical it still seems to default to the other workspace even though I have mine setup as the one to use. No biggie, just have to change it real quick. Thanks!!!
