I recently created a plot file to a diskette to get printed at the local print shop. The drawing has three viewports in paper space with the title block on paper space. It looked fine when I previewed it. When I took the diskette to the print shop it only printed the viewports and not the title block. Does anyone know why

Not sure on your issue, But from my experience, do your layout and plot it to a pdf and send the pdf to the printers. Thats how some of the major building companies i work for send all their a0 and a1 plans for printing.
Do a quick search on this forum for free .pdf plotters

I got over the problem by using my CD burner rather than a floppy diskette. I was getting an error message when I saved the plot file to diskette (A/- Drive) which was obviously a fault on the behalf of my machine. I'm getting more confident now that if I take a plot file on a CD into the print shop I'll be able to get a fortnights work out of the PC.
Many thanks to my Australian correspondent for suggested action but Hobs our local print shop email ther own plotfile format info out to potential users and generally look after us beginners. All we've got to do is get the right info to them.
Greetings to CAD users everywhere

I tend to stay away from saving DWG files to floppy disks. If you do need to save them to floppies, copy file and open the copy rather than opening straight from the floppy, this can cause errors.Check your title block isnt set to not plot in the layer manager. You may have previewed in paper space but then svaed the drawing in model space. So when the person opens the drawing to plot they see no titleblock and just plot your model viewport!
