Autodesk Upgrade Deal

I did a search on this and did not see it posted.

I visited the Autodesk site and saw this deal they are offering. You can upgrade from AutoCAD LT 2005-2007 to any of the full blown versions for $1,995. I paid $900 for LT '07 so I would only sve $200 updgrading to the full version but would save $1200 by upgrading to Architecture 2008. I've been considering doing just that.

You can still upgrade most "retired" Autodesk products too...

Wow, that is a deal. In fact that is such a good deal that I suspect that something is in the works to cause this. I mean look at like this. If you needed a new seat of full AutoCAD it would be cheaper to buy a copy of LT from buy.com or similar for around $785 and then upgrade though this program for $1,995. $2,780 is a far cry from $3,995 for the full version. AutoDesk doesn't do things from the goodness of their hearts, something is up! We'll see.

I noticed that you had to be a registered user by July 1 for this to apply, so buying LT now would not help.
Also I noticed that they are retiring Autocad LT in general...Is this right?..What are they up to??
I tried to get included with my LT 04...but nothing doing

I basically got that same deal.... going to Revit. saved tons of money, i'm glad I caught it.
