I started a new job and I took a previous employees computer. Some of the setting on AutoCAD LT 2005 have been changed and I'm not sure where to change them back. Heres a list of some of the things that are causing me problems:

-I have to type the command BEFORE I select an object. If I select and object and then type the command it deselects the object and then starts the command w/ the typical "select object" prompt.

-My "Delete" key doesn't work in LT but works fine in other programs.

-When I select a line to change a layer it doesn't work. The only way I can change an object is selecting the layer I want, drawing a temporary line, then using "MA" to change what I initially wanted.

-The "Quick Drop" on my left mouse button doesn't work.

I know these are only minor problems but they can be very annoying and distractive when I'm working. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me.

Set your pickfirst variable to 1. Same for changing the layer of a line.

If by this you mean your contextual menu, then type OPTIONS and go to the User Preferences tab, and make sure the "Shortcut menus in drawing area" is checked.

the noun/verb option is also another way to access the pickfirst variable

Oh, ok. The "PICKFIRST" and noun/verb option fixed everything. I meant to type the right mouse button too. Thanks again everyone.
