Me: ACad 2006, Windows XP

My primary sheet set is setup for 24x36 paper on my large format plotter. I'm trying to print the set to an 11x17 printer; naturally the pages need to be scaled down.

What I've done: In my sheet set manager, I created a new setup (Publish, Manage Page Setups) in which this sheet set is supposed to go to the 11x17 printer when I choose Publish Using Page Setup Override.

The problem: In the Page Setup dialog box, in the "What to plot" selection, my choices are Extents and Layout only. Choosing "Layout" does not allow me the option of "Fit to Page", therefore I am only getting a partial print. Choosing "Extents" would work as far as fitting to page, however, included in my prints will be all the other miscellaneous objects I have drawn outside of my page layouts in paper space.

Are these my only options? Do I have to go through all my page layouts and delete the miscellaneous objects? What am I missing?

Thanks for any input.

Since 11x17 is not a scaled version of 24x36 (11/24=0.458, and 17/36=0.472), something will either have to be cut off or show a little extra...

Maybe you could use the 0.458 and enter that in the Scale factor box ( 0.458" = 1 unit) and leave the "what to plot" set to layout.

We don't have this problem since we always plot full size plot files and then if we need 11x17, our reprographics program does this for us (Repro Desk from Oce)

Yeah, good idea, it should work. I just don't understand why the dialogue screen won't let me select Layout, Fit to Paper.

And actually, the conversion goes the other way: 1 inch = 0.458 units. (I can never get it right the first time either.)
