I would like to get a Soildworks trial CD but I don’t want to wait several weeks to try to get it from a dealer.
I thought I saw training books than had the trial CD with them. Anyone have any recommendations on any of these that I could maybe got to Barnes & Noble or Books a Million and pick-up today?

Hi Dave, where are you? If your in England there is a great training Centre/Dealer who will get you a Trial DVD in a week and not weeks, it's the only Milton Keynes SolidWorks dealer in the UK so a quick search on google should find them:)

I bought "SolidWorks for Dummies" and i dont recommend it. I had zero SolidWorks experience so i figured i was a "Dummy", not the case, i thought the book was too slow and i didnt like the authors style.

Guess I'll see that book on Ebay going cheap then:wink:.
If you can afford a course I would recommend it, the amount you learn from a good tutor is amazing:)

I think every book is a good for training, but we must have experience in reading some simililar text. For me it's not a problem, because I work with many CAD programs. Every of us can go to google.com and type book for Solid Works or some like it. Also I don't preffer books "...for Dummies".
