This has happened a few times in the past a drawing will have a hatched pattern, but I will notice that the hatch doesnt always fill the boundaries you get the odd trailing lines coming out a boundary. It usually happens when you have a hatch that runs through a boundary that runs in horizontal and vertical lines. If I can recreate it again I'll post a pic.

Are you using "pick points" or "select objects"? "Select objects" can give some funky results if your boundary isn't a closed polyline.

That's happened to me a few times aswell with my diagonal line hatch. I've even gone around the boundary line checking that all the end points are snapped to the next one and it still does it. I normally resort to drawing a polyline and clicking on that.
Maybe we have a little CAD Gremlin in our machines

Im glad Im not alone  !It seems to happen with say a "L"shape hatch, the line will appear on the inside corner of the "L".This is one of those moments when I wish I could recreate the problem and show you.
