Can i transfer files from architectural DT 2007 to 2006?

Some reason its not working, it gives an error saying it cannot transfer.

What do you mean by transfer? If you want to take a drawing in a newer version and open it in an older version, you have to use the "Export to Autocad" in the "File" pull down menu, then select the appropriate version that you want the drawing to save back to.

Further to what pennylove said, you can set up for all saves to be done back to a specific older version. Normally that would be 2004. You do not actually need to go back to "export to" once you set it up to auto save to.
