My trim settings are a little weird and I dont know how they got that way...

When I pick a line to trim to it will trim to that line and also to extensions of the line.

For instance, if I draw two line segments that do not intersect but they are not parrallel I can trim to these lines.

How do I return to the default settings?

Turn off Edge Extension Mode. This sets the Edge Extension mode for the TRIM and EXTEND command.

Command: trim
Current settings: Projection=UCS, Edge=None
Select cutting edges ...
Select objects:
Select object to trim or shift-select to extend or [Project/Edge/Undo]: Edge
Enter an implied edge extension mode [Extend/No extend] <No extend>: No

Or you can set EDGEMODE = 0 to use selected edge without the extension.

I like that method, for when I switch back and forth in a drawing.
