Hi! I've been using sketchup to extrude up plans, however whilst I've been doing this randomly appearing lines have started to appear all over my model?! Now the imported file was free of any hidden layers as I brought the plan onto one layer, the lines are not selectable and aren't part of any hidden geometry... so what the hell are they.. a bug?

I've uploaded a two images. The first shows the model once it has been reopened.. the second shows these randomly appearing lines? Any ideas!?

Hmm interesting. did you import the plans from a cad? I suppose you have tried cleaning up the drawing before bringing it into sketchup... i.e overkill all the lines & give it a good purging? There is also a good Ruby script to make all the lines workable.

Anyway i've never had lines like that before... so i'd try cleaning up the drawing and start over.

lol... oh god. Yea I've already given it a good once over, in autocad, however saying that the drawing did originate from microstation so maybe that could have some bearing on it. sadly I've already tried starting over so I reckon I'll just persivere as now I'm working in 3d and not using the pencil tool, theres no new lines, so might be alright.

Thanks for the suggestions anyhow
