I drop issue in AutoCAD 2004

I need help in fixing the problem of the I Drop not working (suddenly) when in the Design Center. I can click on the symbol and the I Drop symbol will be active but when I drag it to my open application it never appears. I have done a restore on my system thinking it was a problem there. Not so. I even reinstalled the program to fix any missing or corrupt files. No help. I have even gone to AutoDesk and installed the I Drop files there.
I do not know what else to look at or to try to fix.. I have the same program on my notebook and it is working perfectly. Can someone please help.

Probably something to do with some proxy / security settings in the OS. Idrop is nothing more than some xml info that copies to the clipboard and Autocad is set up as a container.

Thank you for the reply. I finally had to do a totally clean install of all windows xp. Still don't know what I got, but it was wiping out the system. Hope it is fixed now. School project is in the dump. Will be working o/t to get a new one completed in 1 week. Full house plan. UGH!!!!
