I have a drawing which I opened in AutoCAD 2007. When I use the scroll to zoom as I zoom the drawing moves toward the location of the mouse location.
I started a new drawing and when I zoom with the scroll wheel the drawing dosn't move toward the mouse location but seems to zoom to the center of the view.
What is "set" differently?

I'm just having a stab in the dark here. The scroll wheel is a mouse driver problem, within windows. You could also try to set MBUTTONPAN to 1.

I have the same mouse. Both drawings open in the same instance of AutoCAD. Can't be a mouse driver. It must be some setting in the drawings that is different. MBUTTONPAN is the same on both drawings.

The only thing I could suggest is to go to acad help and try to find a variable for zoom. It may be a variable setting.

Can you try the variable 'ZOOMFACTOR' ?

Zoomfactor is a system variable, so it cannot be different from one drawing to another.
jheinze, can you post the two drawings?

Now that's a good idea, Cad64. :D

Here they are. The 66 block works as expected: zooms and pans toward cross hairs. The emergency transfer only zooms.

Hmmmmm . . . . . no problem here. Both files work fine for me.

Yeah, the 110_EMER_TRAN_T.dwg doesn't seem to zoom quite as expected using the zoom wheel. But you can pan the drawing to a point you want and then scroll zoom.

Funny! I noticed the problem at first. Then in the second drawings (110_EMER_TRAN_T.dwg) I switched to 2Dwireframe visual style and zoom and Pan works perfectly. Switched again to others visual styles and the problem is disapeared.
Autocad.... sometimes it let me speechless
