I'm using AutoCAD 2004 at the moment at work, and unfortunately we don't have a plotter connected to our network to print our plans on so we have to send them away to a copy center (like Kinkos) to print our plans, but since the copy centre we use doesn't have AutoCAD, or a viewer, we print them to PDF's so that they can be printed.

BUT when printing the PDF's, the prints end up being forced into one corner of the 'paper' and as such, when printed don't fit on the paper because of the margins. So how do you go about printing to PDF so that the margins are setup correctly within the PDF and we don't have to make allowances for in paperspace?

We're using CutePDF as the PDF creator.

Cheers

Have you tried centering the plot ?
I also use CutePDF and this works for me..

Also by checking the "Plot upside down" under Drawing orientation helps to create a bit of a left hand side margin for binding.

And which part of the window do you select to be able to center the plot?

For me Andrew I plot in modelspace and select my title block corners,
depends I guess how you have set up your drawings, i.e. paperspace, with viewports, you would probably choose extents or layout.:)

Pick Window< and place the window to just enclose the drawing, allow for a little bit extra on the LHS drawing sheet border.

Next time I need to plot something other then A3, I'll try out your methods.

Thanks again.

If we plot to A3, we set the plot scale to Fit to paper.
