evening all!

just got back from Capri :) and have started drawing up an old staircase in Acad R14. my problem is how can i change the camera lens property in perspective view to accentuate the feeling of looking up/distance? i'd like to make it into a wideangle lens i think. have looked at the online help, but dont understand a thing about syntax etc! please help!

thanks in advance,

pitkru

Use the DVIEW command to construct your perspective and then use the Zoom option within DVIEW to set the focal length of the lens.

Using the system varible LENSLENGTH, will tell you the lens length being used in the perspective drawing.

Just a note, acad14 was a cow to set up perspective views. 2000 onwards make it really easy.

aah thanks! yep, i didn't notice (under the zoom command) the command line saying camera length XXmm). must sit closer to the monitor next time.

gcp- what did u mean by using the system variable lenslength? how do you activate this. out of curiosity? thanks!

the command lend lenght will tell you what the current lens length is after using the zoom in dview.
