Hi All,

one of our customers works with Solidworks and because I have no idea about Solidworks I put this question:

Can they save a Solidworks 3D drawing in a format which CAD can open it?

Cheers

Solidworks IS a CAD program. AutoCAD is an other one.
Solidworks can export the drawings (meaning 2D) in DWG and DXF format. Probable there is a way to export the 3D too -you should ask in the SolidWorks forum

To bring it in as a 3d model you can save as ACIS*SAT in Solidworks then in Autocad go INSERT> ACIS FILE, that should work.

Edit: I moved this to the Solidworks forum.

Just noticed Related question already answered. (I wondered how I knew this answer)
