Hi again

I am using AutoCAD LT 2008

I am working on drawing with .tif files link to them. is there any way that these can be binded to the drawing so you don't have to send .tif files with the CAD drawing.

When I was using AutoCAD LT 2004 I use to copy and paste bitmap files into model space which I could save, print and draw over. If I try this with LT 2008 the image can be pasted into model space, but it is not saved or printed. If I could still do what I did with LT 2004 I could convert the .tif files to bitmap.

Can anybody help me with this problem?

Thanks for any help

Try using eTransmit. To quote AutoCAD Help:

"With eTransmit, you can package a set of files for Internet transmission. Drawing files in the transmittal package automatically include all related dependent files such as xrefs and font files."

It would help us to know what version of AutoCAD you're using.

The OP said "so you don't have to send .tif files with the CAD drawing"

The only ways to do this are listed here (http://rkmcswain.blogspot.com/2005/04/binding-raster-images.html). Beware of a huge DWG file size afterwards though...

My bad. 10 lashes with a flexible curve coming right up. Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch! That ought to make everyone happy. Have a sparkling day.
