I have 2 corrupt autocad files that im trying to save! if anyone has heard of the lawrence tech computer virus (just do a random search) it will suprise even your it people. I got hit pretty bad, and well these 2 files are 2 of my final projects. Because of health issues i was already behind but by loosing these im at least 8 weeks behind! im looking for any and i mean ANY possible fix for these! even if i get half of a file its better then nothing! I will even send you the file if you want to try to fix it! If you know anyone or anything to fix these autocad files you would be amazing! i do have the .bak files for each of them. it is a 2008 file. if you need any other information please let me know! i just want my projects back! im one of the worse hit, or thats what they are saying!

Are the .bak files corrupt too? Just rename them to .dwg? That should get the majority of your work back. Other than that, there's nothing I can think of to help you.

Using AutoCAD 2006 I successfully recovered the most part of some corrupted files using the Partial Open option in the Open File dialog window. But I must to admit that I know nothing about that virus so I have no clue if this advice is any help for you.
Welcome in the forum and good luck!

be carefull sending anything that has been corrupted by a virus. the file may contain the virus itself, and can infect other machines.
