Our company uses two fonts - both non Microsoft standard fonts. I have cut & paste both into the following folder:
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2005\Fonts
Font A has the file type "TrueType Font File" and the other font B has the file type "OpenType Font File".
Font A (TrueType) works fine in AutoCAD but Font B (OpenType) does not work at all.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong, or should be doing to get the second "OpenType" font to work in AutoCAD?
I am using AutoCAD 2005.
Thanks

From Autodesk..............
Issue
You want to know why an OpenType font installed on your system is not available in AutoCADĀ® or AutoCADĀ®-based applications.
Solution
Only TrueType fonts or OpenType fonts that use TrueType outlines (not PostScript outlines) can be used in AutoCADĀ®.
To determine if your OpenType font contains PostScript outlines, select the Font file, and then click Open.

Thanks for the help - the font that doesn't work has PostScript Outlines, so thats why its not working.
Thanks again! :)

If you will do a Google search, you may be able to find a similar font in a format that will work.

I don't suppose anyone knows how to transform a font that has PostScript outlines to be a TrueType font or have TrueType outlines ?

Did you try searching the Internet for that font in a format that will work?

I've had a search, but cannot find anything that matches. Unfortunately the font has been designed specifically for my employer and it is already used throughout the company!

I would get whomever designed it to modify it or look for a forum that specializes in fonts. I know nothing of modifying them.
Do a Google on "Creating Fonts" and "Modifying Fonts".
