Anyone out there use or have knowledge of adobe acrobat-distiller?
when you load it you get a printer in your plotters dialogue box.
this enable you to print to PDF using your desired pc3.
my question is,how do you set it up to make the image in the pdf look as good as the final plot from the pdf. meaning that when i plot from the PDF file, the image is perfect, just how i want it. but the on screen image is really ordinary and the lines look terrible.
i dont know if i have missed something, but the PDF files that come from adobe seem to look fantastic, nice sharp lines.
Thanks in advanced

What is your dpi set to? I usually set it to 300 dpi, although I use the pdf writer and not distiller.

Here is a free program I use occasionally.
www.pdf995.com/pdfedit.html
You will find here other two nice programs to manipulate PDF files. Good luck!

The .pdf writer is one of the Acrobat PDF printers that install in your "printer" folder when you install Acrobat. I will have to look furthur into this....

ive loaded up pdf writter and it works fairly well,
the tip is to create a large layout in cad,ie a1 or a2, then print to pdf.
this fixes the resolution problem and allows the reciever to see fine detail that would otherwise be lost due to line thisckness.
Thanks for all your help
