molend Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 i see this discussion was long time ago but maybe someone can find a sollution for me. i have the same problem with not working 'delete' key, but pickfirst is set to 1 and it doesn't work... i am using autocad 2008, on xp under parallels on a mac book pro. best, molend Quote
fuccaro Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Welcome in the forum, Molend! See this old thread where Hendie helped me out. Maybe it will help you too. Other than that, I don't know. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10471 Quote
molend Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 thanks for the hint fuccaro, but unfortunatelly it doesn't work for me. i have nvidia graphic card... i am trying get used to the E, but i will be grateful to anyone who will let me use my delete key again! Quote
sean.svs Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Hey guys, new member from TX... I've only had this "delete key" problem twice, and the PICKFIRST=1 remedy has worked both times. What I discovered recently is that if you use the MVSETUP command, (I use this command to rotate a drawing in one viewport at a time) and then immediately do an UNDO command (ctrl+z), autoCAD will automatically set the PICKFIRST variable to "0", hence the "no delete key" action. This is not a solution, i know, but this is a HUGE inconvenience to anyone who has ever experianced it, and since the only way I've ever seen it is because of the MVSETUP command, I thought it should be in this thread.
