I have asked in a thread in FAQ months ago and I still wasn't able to receive any help.

I am using AutoCAD2002 and for some reason, my cut and paste do not work regardless if it is brand new or old drawing; I have used all their suggestions but none have worked.

Recently, I attempted to look up the problem again and I see in the acad.rx file asks for two files, EDWAutoCAD2000.arx and swfileconv.arx. I was able to find swfileconv but I am unable to find a website nor in my directories the EDWAutoCAD2002.arx file.

I was wondering if anyone can be so kind to upload the file to see if this would finally solve the problem, once and for all.

This is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

those files you mention aren't really needed for Cut&Paste to work but of course may still be the culprits. Try renaming the acad.rx-file to something else to test this. Thsi acad.rx file is not needed for basic AutoCAD to function but is used to load AutoCAD applications much like acad.lsp. The files you mentioned look like they are part of Solid Works's DWG-package and if you need it, you can download the newest version from:

http://www.dwggateway.com/

This may not revive your Copy&Paste feature. Look at:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=2888395&linkID=9240617

This states that loading an AutoCAD R14 menufile into AutoCAD 2002 will disable the Copyclip-function, which is what AutoCAD uses... The reason for this is that in 2002 parts of the program are loaded from mnl-files, which are menuname dependant. So loading a menu called ACADR14.MNC will cause ACADR14,MNL to load, not the 2002 one..

Does Cut & Paste work in other programs?
