Does anyone know of a freeby DXF to DWG convertor? I can't use AutoCad because the dxf file created by this particular software (PCDrain) can't be read by AutoCad now (since the PCDrain upgrade).

I've never come across that problem before.:?
so I'll ask a really dumb question, you have tried DXFIN as well as trying to OPEN the dxf.
I'm not even sure if that will make a difference with compatability....
What about your old 12d..that is compatable with pcdrain??

Paul,
If I try and open the dxf file in acad, or dxfin, I get the following error message:
Improper table entry name COURIER NEW on line 148.
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded.
Well, I'll be buggared. 12D can read it. That could be a work around, but a cumbersome one.
Thanks, mate. :D

There seems to be plenty of DXF converters out there if you do a google search:
http://anydwg.com/dxf-to-dwg-ex.html
Maybe one of those would help?

Thanks, Benson,
But I was after a FREE convertor. We have a great problem here in Australia buying software from a smallish mob overseas. The logistics of doing so make it not worth the effort.
