I am using the Demo for ACAD 2008 right now, and anytime I X-REF a template to print I get this notification. If I press 'yes', it opens the layer diologue box, to attempt to fix the problem. If I press 'no', I go to the plot screen and it prints just fine. I am just wondering what I need to do to the layers to make this box not pop up anymore. Thanks.

New to 2008 I think. Prompts you to check layer settings on newly created or imported layers...

Just go into the Layer Properties Manager and reconcile the Layers.

you would need to set LAYEREVAL to a value of 0 (zero).
be aware that this is a variable that is saved within each dwg file; therefore it is not set system-wide.

Thanks NBC that worked... I will just have to change that setting in the template so that in the future it will be fixed.
