In a meeting the other day, someone mentioned Archibus Blocks :?
I have no doubt that this item will have been answered already so I only need someone to direct me to the explanation of what these are and possibly how to spell it to !

It looks like a SW suite that only big contractors will take some advantage from.

My understanding is that they are Blocks that carry with them info that can be used in Excel or Word spread sheets, so that someone could scan a drawing and book up certain chairs for example or electrical components, whatever !
But that is just what I gathered by listening to two people chat.

archibus is a tool mainly used for space planning. The blocks are CAD Blocks that link into the Archibus system. Its a very powerfull tool that can pull off reports from current desk locations to space recharging and im sure there are many many other uses for it such as mechanical and electrical data and asset tracking.
If someone has mentioned it that probably means that your company is using it somewhere or are thinking about using it. if you like I can point you in the direction of a few companies that might be able to help.
Its used here in the UK on quite a few large companies (like the one i work for). PM me if you want to talk more about it.

So it is as I thought, but it is to be used by a big company that we / I design for, so no doubt in the fullness of time those that need to know will be told what they need to know !! In the mean time we will carry on as the proverbial mushrooms !
