I've been asked by my boss to look at different Asset Tracking software and compare the Pro's and Con's.
TBH I don't have much knowledge about this and can't seem to find anything that will fit the bill.
Basically, I work with Mechanical and Electrical engineers within a Building Services Environment. So, in terms off Asset Tracking, we'd be looking to barcode different ventilation units etc. and have information of the unit (cost, repairs, age etc) linked from our CAD drawings to a database. When we scan the barcode of the unit, it will be linked up to this database and provide information about the unit. So, if we where to look at the vent. unit in our drawing we could click on it and it'd be linked to it's database entry.
Does anyone know of anything about this software, or have any information regarding asset tagging?
