Creating a Standard Title Block

Hi everyone. I just recently started working for a fairly new company doing drafting work. However, being that this is a new company, they have almost no CAD standards in place. This is cool cause I pretty much get to set them, but I'm having trouble coming up with a decent title block. I'm unfortunately limited to 11x17 at the moment, and work in a hybrid Architectural / Mechanical industry. Outside of the standard title blocks that come with AutoCAD... and Google... are there any good places to look for title block templates? Thanks!

I have found that making your own title block is the best way to go unless you are in a very standard industry like architecture.

Since you have a mixture of arch. & mech. I would really recommend making your own. the mechacanical will have different information than the arch., so your own will have to fit both senarios.

+1 to this, i searched high and low for a good template and just ended up making our own, it still needs work, but it makes our drawings look 100% more professional...

i'd suggest presenting some plotter recommendations to your company, 11x17 are typical 1/2 sized prints for us and tend to get overlooked very easily... plus no one wants to be in the field with 11x17 prints...

anyway, just my suggestions, best of luck.

Be adventurous and design your own. For starters though you could always take a look at some of the sample drawings depicted in the book Technical Graphics Communication by Bertoline and Wiebe.

One of the CAD courses I took at a local community college actually had this as the first drawing assignment. Design your own company logo and title block.
