default application

Hi,

I have recently added 2004LT to my comp, as a new client uses it. Now...all CAD files are opening in LT as my default.

I would like to change back to my original default of 2002.

It is a Windows setting. Go to Start>Folder Options -or even simpler: right-click any DWG file and choose OPEN WITH... Choose from the list AutoCAD 2002 (navigate if it doesn't show in the list) and before you open be sure that the option "Always use this program" is ticked.

OK...so if I just double click any .dwg, it automatically opens in LT. (unwanted default)

If I right-click any .dwg and choose "open with" AutoCAD 2002, it will and everything is fine, but I don't see an option to "Always use this program" when the .dwg opens.

I would still like to change the default if possible.

BTW, I am using windows XP, and do not see "folder options" in the start menu?

Or you can change the settings by opening My Computer > Tools > Folder options > File types
