Hi,
not really a problem as I have got over it, but quite interested to know if there was something I could have done.
I drew a plan this morning with some text and dimensions on it. So that the plan conformed to the north point on another site plan, I then rotated to the right bearing, which happened to be through 90degrees, so the object went from vertically orientated to horizontally.
Thankfully I had a close look at the work and noticed that whilst the text now read from top to bottom, the figures on the dimensions now read from bottom to top. As the dimension was '960', it was very easy to read it as '096' at first glance.
Not wanting to confuse the non-surveyors who were going to be using the drawing, i span it back again and drew its own north point.
I'm sure there will be a way of making the dims text read whichever way up I want - is there?
Cheers,
(and a Happy New Year to all, of course)
