If you have the latest version of Viz I would think you may be able to drag and drop the autocad file, fail that yes use the import wizard in Viz, you should have no problem Importing the cad file into Viz.

dear thanks 4 d reply!
there is no import option in viz render as well no copy pest works there. i tried that through autocad-file menu-send link to viz ......the viz wil open automatically! this is very simple but the only problem is u cant add any element as that in 3d max.this can only for the rendering purpose but i found the quality is much lesser than max and it is very similer to the cad rendering...........it takes more time than max........
bye the way thanx once again.....:)

... in viz render ...

fyi, viz render is different then Autodesk Viz as the latter is a slightly slimmed down version of 3D max hence my original answer...i'm not familiar w/ viz render which i think is simply a rendering engine for autocad base on Autodesk VIZ?...
