I noticed the time stamp on a recent post was ahead by 6 hours. It should have read 12:47pm but instead reads 6:47pm.

I thought you might want to know.

Oh now that's weird. Now the time stamp reads 1:47 pm. It must have corrected itself.

I just realised that my profile says GMT -5 hours but we had a time change and now it should be -6 hours.

I guess everything's hunky dorey.

The board time is GMT and if you make no change to the timezone in your profile, you will see times in GMT. If you change the settings in your profile, all times on the board (including post time) will be shown in your local time.

All times are automatically translated for every user depending upon his/her timezone settings. That's the wonder of PHP, MySQL and the UNIX timestamp :geek:

The only thing the board won't do is compensate for daylight savings. You must do that yourself.

Thanks David. I'm a little slow sometimes but eventually I catch on.
