this has happened a few times on this site (and this site only)
I log in as usual, hit the "view new posts" button and ....... nothing happens !
try try and try again and still nothing happens. The only way I can acces anything is by right clicking and selecting "open in new window" ~ if I exit and log back in, all the cookies are cleared and the "new" posts have disappeared.

using IE6 ~ same as I've used for the last year or so without any problems, The problem has only occured since switching to the new site

Do you mean that when you click on "View posts since last visit" at the top right of the index page that you get... nothing?

Judging by your post, this doesn't happen all the time - just now and again. Have you noticed it over a period of time since the move?

I must admit I haven't had this problem - I wonder if you've just been unlucky in being on the forum when the server is particularly busy.

Anyone else notice this?

I'll keep my eye on it - let me know how frequently this is happening and I'll try to get to the bottom of it.

absolutely nothing, not a sausage, nowt ~ it's as if I'm trying to click on a screenshot of the GUI !
No, it doesn't happen often. I think about 3 times in total since the move to the new server

You mean, the index page remains visible but is completely innactive - links don't work or even roll-over?

:? Weird.

:glare: OK, obviously that's not right. It must be a server issue - I'll look into it. In the meantime, keep me informed. Thanks.

I've been using the "View new posts since..." option every time I've visited the forum over the last week or so and have not experienced the same problem identified here. Since you haven't posted again, I assume that it has sorted itself out.

I'd still like to know of any outstanding problems members may still be experiencing since the forum was moved and upgraded.

I haven't experienced it since I made the posts.
on thinking back ~ was the problem I was experiencing around the same time you were having the virus hijacking ?

The virus thing was a few days after you first reported it - I don't think there's a connection.

Inevitably there will be a few teething troubles when such a big change takes place but my feeling is that we're now over the worst of them and the board seems to have reached a point of stability.

Sorry - we have another "timeslip" problem. I'm trying to sort this out right now. My host had promised that this would not happen again so I am :reallymad:

Hopefully it'll be sorted shortly.

OK, I've just received confirmation that this has now been resolved and I will correct the order of any affected topics.
