Hello all, great forum here. I'll preface this by saying that I've used the search feature and haven't turned up anything useful as of yet.

Basically, I'm the sole production guy for an extremely small civil engineering firm. I've recently been charged with the daunting task of implementing CAD standards. I want to use LDD's Symbol Manager to manage our standardized blocks but have hit some snags. I am completely lost on how to create a new Symbol Set for our standardized blocks. I printed off the tutorial from the Help section of LDD and it seems to just go in circles and the language is completely alien to me at this point. If there is a video tutorial that someone knows of how to accomplish this that would be great, or if someone could just explain to me what exactly I need to do so I don't have to tear out my eyebrows that would be great too.

Thanks in advance.

You may find Tool Palettes a little to your liking

We are a large Civil, land development, P&E, and environmental company. we only use palettes for our standards. They include our standard text styles, line work, blocks, standard xrefs (Borders) and a few other things. we have also set one up for each of our clients. This proves to be very efficient in that the users no longer have to set the text and dim styles up. They are done for them and done to the company or the client's standards.

Palettes are the way to go.

Cool. Yeah Palettes seems much easier to setup. I can't get this one tool's preview image to zoom in like the other ones do in list view. Grrr..
