Subdivision exercise

Hi, guys. I am trying to do a simple subdivision exersice. I need to draw subdivision blocks in forms of rectangles, where each side has its own length and angle in degrees, minutes and seconds. To draw the rectangle i am using a line command, and i am entering lenght of the line and then an agle: so if the line is 140 m long and has 252 degrees 54 minutes and 20 seconds angle.
The input is: @140<252d54'20'', but nothing happneds and autocad seems doesn't understand this command, and i can not work out whats going wrong.
Is any one knows how it needs to be done? Thanks a lot!

Check your units. Make sure you are in "Survey's Units".

You should be able to enter distances with any units, regardless of what your display units are set to. What do you mean by "nothing happens"? No error messages, does the command stop, does the line go in the wrong direction? What does the command line say?

nop, i set units first in der/min/sec
and starting point i entering by clicking with the mouse on the screen.
