Hey folks,
I've loaded a jpg image (497kb) into the background of my drawing. Its an aerial shot which I am drawing a site plan on top of. It plots out fine on the HP800 plotter but when I try to print an A3 copy on the HP 1220C I get vertical white bands at regular intervals.
Any suggestions? Is it a memory issue?

Oh, and I'm currently working on LT 2002 by the way...

Across the whole printed drawing or just on the image?

It appears to be only affecting the image. The cad vector lines are actually printing within the blank bands where the image is not printing, so I don't think its a cartridge running out of ink.
Also, I just noticed that the distance between the bands is dependent on the scale I print at...
Does CAD split images into strips for printing purposes to save memory?

I can think of no obvious reason why this should happen. It's possible that it could be a print driver issue. Check to make sure you are using the most up-to-date driver for your HP 1220C.

has the image been rotated after it's been inserted into Acad ? if so, use an image editor to rotate it before it's inserted.

Excellent!
Yes, the image had been rotated slightly post insertion. I have reinserted it after rotating it in Photoshop and it prints out perfectly.
Many thanks hendie. You've saved us a lot of tears of frustration here...
