Here is the scenario: I have a drawings that arrays of blocks within a predefined area limited by a polyline. Although I can use EATTEXT to get an inventory with selected blocks, I would like to be able to click on the boundary polyline and have an inventory run on only what is within that boundary. Any thoughts using only AutoCAD commands?

I can't think of any native AutoCAD commands to do this. It would require some sort of 3rd party lisp/VBA/ARX program.

You can do a delete outside of a polyline I know you can using fence option hence only have what is inside or touching left.

But it is dangerous if you forget to undo
