Problem Exporting 3DS models to AutoCAD

I exported a 3DS Model to Autocad, it was exported as single object in DWG format, and on rendering, it didn't give the same effect. Is there any method of importing a 3DS Model into Autocad so that it retains its original looks and materials

The simple answer is "no". Unfortunately, the materials in 3DS are not transferrable to AutoCAD and vice versa. Geometry is no problem but materials - forget it!
